There is sediment in my wine. Is that normal?

Yes! Most of the time, sediment in wine is either tartrate crystals or lees; both are naturally occurring compounds and are not harmful to consume. Tartaric acid will occasionally crystallize in bottle and create a sediment that is slightly gritty and can appear glittery!
